my stORY
Aloha — I'm Corey.
I've lived my whole life close to the ocean. Raised in San Diego, I picked up a camera in high school and never put it down. I was shooting film long before film was a choice.
Over a decade ago I moved to the Big Island of Hawaiʻi and built a life here: my wife, our four beautiful kids, and the ocean. That's the foundation everything else is built on.
I'm based in Kona and am lucky enough to photograph weddings across all the islands — from the lava fields of the Big Island to the ridges of Kualoa. My work has taken me to Four Seasons Hualālai, Ko Olina, Kona Village (a Rosewood Resort), Mauna Lani Auberge, and private luxury estates that never appear on a vendor list.
My approach is quiet and intentional. I'm not directing your day — I'm documenting it. But when a frame needs composing, I know how to place two people in a landscape and make it feel inevitable. I also shoot 35mm film, available as an add-on for couples who want something beyond digital.

my style
I shoot documentary first. My preference is to observe, move quietly, and let the day build its own rhythm. But I also know how to compose. When the light and the landscape align, I'll place you in it deliberately and the result is an image that feels both found and considered.
The work sits between editorial and real. Muted environments, warm skin tones, clean whites. Shot on digital and 35mm film. Nothing that will feel dated in ten years.

I start every inquiry with a conversation, not a contract. I want to understand how you've envisioned your day — the flow, the feeling, the details that matter most to you — so I can show up fully prepared to document it.
On the day itself I move with you, not around you. I'm there to guide when it helps, offer direction when the light calls for it, and give you space when the moment is already unfolding on its own. Think of it less as hiring a photographer and more as having someone deeply invested in how your day looks and feels.
I accept a limited number of weddings each year so that every couple gets my full attention, from the first conversation to the final gallery delivery.
